Dr. Christopher Carillo is a board-certified pediatric dentist dedicated to helping infants, children, and adolescents build healthy smiles through compassionate, individualized care. With more than a decade of clinical experience, he is committed to creating positive dental experiences that help children feel comfortable, confident, and excited about their oral health.
Dr. Carillo earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and completed his Pediatric Dentistry residency at the University of Southern California. During his specialty training, he received the Award of Excellence in Comprehensive Trauma.
His clinical expertise includes preventive care, restorative dentistry, behavior management, nitrous oxide sedation, oral conscious sedation, general anesthesia dentistry, orthodontic evaluation, and space maintenance. He enjoys helping children of all ages, including those with complex dental or behavioral needs, receive the care they need in a safe and supportive environment.
Known for his gentle demeanor and approachable style, Dr. Carillo believes every child deserves individualized attention and a positive dental experience. He works closely with parents to address concerns, explain treatment options, and build lasting relationships based on trust and communication.
Dr. Carillo is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Orange County Dental Society (OCDS). His commitment to service extends beyond the dental office. Dr. Carillo has participated in volunteer dental programs in Montego Bay, Jamaica, as well as community outreach initiatives in Long Beach and San Jose, California, providing care to underserved populations. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys tennis, hiking, cooking, especially homemade pizza and spending quality time with family and friends.
