Implant Services

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root placed into the jawbone to stabilize a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants can be used to replace individual teeth or multiple teeth. They can also be used to stabilize loose full dentures. Many patients may find wearing removable partial dentures to be cumbersome and uncomfortable. With dental implants, we can restore teeth so they look and feel natural. Although nothing can completely replace a natural tooth, dental implants are as close as you can get to what nature gave you.

Minimally Invasive Implant Surgery
In medicine and dentistry patients are experiencing much less discomfort and faster recoveries after surgery.  Compare the experience of gall bladder surgery today with that of just twenty years ago.  Similar experiences are possible today with implant surgery.  Patients can have an implant placed in the morning and go back to work that afternoon!

With the aid of 3-D implant planning and CT technology, we able to place implants through a much smaller opening than was previously needed.  Although not all cases can be done this way, quite a few patients may be candidates for this type of treatment.

Immediate Restoration Treatment
In certain situations, we are able to place the crown on the implant the same day of the surgery.  Conventional implant care requires a staged approach where the implant is placed and after several months of healing, the restoration is placed. This requires the patient to wear a temporary tooth which is usually removable.  In the case of patients who have lost all of their teeth, they will have to wear a denture during the healing period.

Treatment approaches are available for patients to have their teeth the day of the implant surgery.  See if you are a candidate.

Implant Stabilized Dentures
Unfortunately, some patients may lose all of their natural teeth due to periodontal disease or tooth decay. These patients won't have to endure the insecurity of dentures that slip. With implant-stabilized dentures, no longer will they have to carefully select foods that don't require any chewing. Patients can enjoy the confidence to eat foods they previously avoided. Dentures can be supported with either a bar/clip or ball/O-Ring attachment.  Removal allows for regular cleaning.

Oral Reconstructive Surgery
Many patients interested in replacing their missing teeth with dental implants may have inadequate bone and gum tissue to support the implants.  The lack of these necessary ingredients to the implant foundation may also prevent us from restoring a natural looking tooth replacement.   We have done our best job for you when no one can tell which tooth is the implant.

Modern techniques of bone and soft tissue reconstruction can help patients achieve the kind of treatment result that they should expect.  Often we are asked, “Am I a candidate for implants.”  We can confidently say that we can help you achieve your goals.

Rebuilding these tissues destroyed by disease or accident can be done in a variety of ways in a predictable fashion.  Our surgical team is experienced in providing the latest of bone and soft tissue reconstructive surgery.  Your implant evaluation will include an analysis of the supporting tissues.
